ECHS students and faculty traveled across the globe to enjoy their well-deserved summer break.

Beach and lake trips, mountain escapes, and family visits topped the list of destinations for the majority of EC Indians.

Students who stuck around in Georgia beat the heat by heading to the coast, mountains, or even the air conditioned luxury of the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta. “I had so much fun at the aquarium seeing the animals!” said Junior Ally Arnett. Alternatively, Junior Greyson Ahmann served as a Boy Scouts camp counselor. He loved it because “I messed around in the woods all day.”

As usual, the seafood, white sands, and water sports of Florida drew many Georgia residents. Destin, Panama City, Pensacola, and West Palm Beach all hosted members of the EC family this summer.

“I went to PCB and it was awesome! I had fun going out to dinner and eating seafood.”

Some lucky Indians even got to travel overseas. Levi Gould visited the American D-Day Cemetery in Normandy, France. “It went well,” he said, “very solemn.” Others visited family members in exotic locations. English Teacher Ms. Jennifer Cochran spent more than a week in Ireland with her family in June, and Sofia Fisco spent time “shopping and hanging out with cousins” in Bogota, Columbia.

Whether their adventures took them near or far, the EC community took advantage of this summer’s break to rest, refresh, and get ready for a new school year.
