ECHS football team had their first scrimmage of the season last Friday August 9th. They beat a powerful team, Spalding High school, and proved that the ECHS football team is ready to conquer this season.

The Indian fans packed the stands, in their Hawaiian gear. Fans were excited and loud at the game. East Coweta High School brought back the tradition of rocks and milk jugs at this scrimmage.

Our school is known for being loud and supporting their team by making iconic rock and milk jugs. Students, faculty and staff grabbed old milk jugs, painted rocks and made noise by shaking them in the stands. The students were ecstatic and ready to participate in this long awaited tradition!

Ashlyn Cox who is a sophomore and also a varsity cheerleader says
“I enjoyed this past game. It was fun and filled with lots of school spirit!”

The cheerleaders showed out last Friday and cheered the football team to victory. The crowd was very active and participated in the cheerleaders’ chants. Students were excited to see the football team in action for the first time since their very last game, last year.

Don’t forget to come out at cheer at this week’s away game at Sandy Creek at 8:00!
