History club held its first meeting on August 12 in the main cafeteria to show potential new members what the club is all about.

First, London Martin urged members who are at least 17 and a half to register to vote before this year’s presidential election in November.

Next, the club’s four officers announced this year’s theme: superheroes. Club events this year will include movies, assemblies and even trips that students don’t get in their history everyday classes. Ms. Sandlin and Mr. Young, the club’s sponsors, look forward to another great year for the club.

Students who deeply love learning about history, good movies, going on trips, and meeting new friends should join the history club! Bring your $35 dues to the next meeting on September 16.
