This week students at ECHS where asked to answer the question:’’What’s your favorite holiday?’’

There are so many holidays to choose from some people can’t pick just one! Some students said that it depends on the season or the reason they celebrate it.

Christmas Tops the List

Karis Brown, a senior at ECHS said,’’ I really like Christmas because of the season around it.’’ Around 64% of students said that Christmas was their favorite holiday. It is really not a surprise to most people that that holiday is the most popular.

The season around Christmas, the reason, and even the food can play a big factor into why people chose christmas. Another student at ECHS said,’’ I love christmas because of the vibe,no school and I love to spend time with my family.’’

Thanksgiving in a Distant Second

The second most popular holiday that students picked was Thanksgiving. Over 21% of students said Thanksgiving is their favorite. Thanksgiving is also a very popular holiday as well as Christmas. Thanksgiving contains an abundance of good food, friends and family. This holiday doesn’t just celebrate food and family but also celebrates history.

The Fourth Comes in Third

And the third most picked holiday was Fourth of July. Only 14% of students picked this holiday. Fourth of July might not be as popular but it is still celebrated and loved by many students. The fireworks and celebrations are truly amazing during this holiday. Many people love to celebrate the parades and go watch fireworks with their friends during Fourth of July.

Food, friends, history, gifts, and the lack of school tend to create the best holidays for EC Indians.
