EC’s Senior Class has started decorating their hallway section–themed Greetings from New York– for homecoming week.

Some Ideas they produced in their brainstorming session yesterday included:

  • A Stamp addressed to the class of 2025
  • Origami of Pigeons, Icons of New York
  • Making a Cardboard Apple
  • A New York skyline area
  • Brooklyn bridge of duct tape
  • Principle Allen Statue of Liberty
  • Hot Dog Stand
  • Bodega

If you’re interested in donating supplies, they need paint gallons, cardboard boxes, paintbrushes, construction paper, and duct tape for their set. The theme is “Road Trips,” and New York is so popular and recognized it made sense with their senior journey. The goal is to have a nostalgic trip through New York that perfectly embodies the real essence of a New York road trip. Lady Liberty will be on the New York skyline, sporting Principal Alan’s face. Because they got points deducted due to too much white space last year, the senior class has set their sights on completely filling the walls. There is a competition among the classes, and seniors want to win. On the 10th, they started a mock-up, putting sticky notes where the decor would go.

Olivia Bagwell, Charity Johnson, Jessica Kim, Jackelyn Ramirez-Ocampo, and Natalie Zern were part of the team decorating on Wednesday. The end of Longstreet at the entrance of the building is where they will be putting up their decorations for anyone who wants to stop by and get a preview.
