The 2024 Emmys hit the big screens last Sunday night with exciting wins, shocking snubs, and hilarious jokes throughout the 3-hour runtime. Eugene and Dan Levy delivered a funny father-son opening monologue with consistently funny jokes. They were followed by Only Murders In The Building stars Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez presenting the opening award of the night with radiant and laugh-out-loud back-and-forth banter. FX scored big with the most wins by a network at the Emmys for The Bear and Shogun. The Bear is breaking its own record for most wins in a comedy series following last year’s run, including Outstanding Comedy Series and acting wins from Jeremy Allen White, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Liza Colon-Zayas. Shogun also broke Emmy records for most wins for a single series for Outstanding Drama Series and wins from Hiroyuki Sanada, Anna Sawai, Tadanobu Asano, and Takehiro Hira. Netflix follows FX’s success with the hit show Baby Reindeer winning Outstanding Limited or Anthology series and Best Actor, actress for Richard Gadd and Jessica Gunning. With stunning looks, deserved winners, and an overall fun time. The 2024 Emmys wrap for the year.
Agatha All Along
Agatha All Along received sparkling and glowing reviews after its LA premiere on the 16th. Critics are calling it “a gem,” “an absolute blast,” and “Insanely fun.” Starring Kathryn Hahn returning as bad girl Agatha Harkness, Aubrey Plaza as Rio Vidal and Joe Locke as mysterious “Teen,” the show follows Agatha Harkness free from her spell set by the Scarlet Witch at the end of Wandavision.

After a mysterious gothy teen seeks her out, they form an unlikely duo to put together a coven of century-old witches to walk the witch’s road and have their greatest desires granted at the end. Agatha All Along premiered this Wednesday, September 18 at 9 pm EST with a 2 episode double premiere on Disney+.

Joan of Arc Biopic in the Works
Warner Bros taps blockbuster Elvis director Baz Luhrmann to direct a new Joan Of Arc biopic called Jehanne d’Arc. The movie is an epic story about Joan of Arc, a young french peasant who believes God sent her to lead an army and save her country during the Hundred Years war.
The biopic was shortly announced days after Jenna Ortega said in an interview from Letterboxd for BeetleJuice press that her dream role to play in history was Joan Of Arc. According to Deadline the film is reportedly starting the casting process searching for a young actress who will lead “the ultimate teenage girl coming-of-age story.”
