Mrs. Jones, EC’s long-time dual enrollment and 10th grade counselor, left East Coweta last week, which leaves the question: who is taking her place?

Mrs. Jones left to pursue an opportunity at the county level where she now manages the Dual Enrollment program for the entire school district. With this news, many current and potential DE students have been wondering where to direct their questions or concerns going forward.

If you send your questions to Mrs. Jones, Google will automatically reply with the following:

Dr. Shelnutt has now fully transitioned to overseeing all 10th grade counseling concerns and DE counseling. She set up a new DE Google Classroom and posted in the old classroom that it will no longer be available after October 10.

We will miss Mrs. Jones’s presence at East Coweta and are grateful for the years she has worked here as an amazing counselor. We wish her success at Central Office.
