Going into their fourth competition of the season, the East Coweta cheerleaders performed on October 12 at North Paulding High School.

Coming off a huge win at Starr’s Mill last week, EC’s competition team arrived early in the morning at North Paulding ready to compete and give it their all. The cheerleaders did a magnificent job performing, and friends, family, and fans are looking forward to watching the team compete again at Northgate on October 26.
The East Coweta Cheerleaders have worked very hard this season to perfect their routine. You may see the cheerleaders put in the extra work on the sidelines on Friday nights working their competition stunts to get extra turns in before their early-morning competitions on Saturdays. ‘’Being on the sideline is more laid back and the silly part of cheering. When I am on the competition mat it is very serious and more fast paced,’’ says Varsity Cheerleader Gabby Blankinship about the difference between Friday night games and Saturday morning competitions. The cheerleaders work hard every single day after school performing and criticizing their routine. These athletes and coaches are very dedicated to this sport and put their 100% effort into their routine, practicing every day after school, performing on the sidelines at football games, and showcasing their talents at competitions.
They shine under the Friday Night Lights and are loud on Saturday mornings. The cheerleaders are preparing for their State Championship November 15 and 16. Their hard work has really shown on the mat these past 2 weeks: the ECHS cheerleaders have won the past 3 competitions. Furthermore, at Starr’s Mill they got a 103 out of a 115.
Overall when it comes to sideline, pep rallies, and competitions, these athletes put a lot of hard work into a sport that they love.
