
As the fall athletics season winds down, it has become clear that East Coweta has produced excellent athletes and teams that have dominated near and far. Smoke Signals wants to recognize the following phenomenal athletes and all the hard work they have put in this season!
Cross Country
Congratulations to Troy Blackwood, Houston Hambry, and Leah Pfaff who have been named runners of the year. Each of them had a great season, and Indians can’t wait to see what next season has in store for them.

Softball

The softball team took home a huge win against Buford (4-3), winning the State Championship. The entire school celebrated the win with a pep rally last Friday afternoon. Congratulations on an amazing season!
Volleyball
Girls Varsity Volleyball advanced to the Elite 8 this year. These ladies put in plenty of hard work and it showed throughout their excellent season will many wins and several championships.

Football

The Indians had a great win against Chapel Hill and have advanced to the playoffs this Friday night against Buford. Good luck, gentlemen! The flag football team is has also been putting in the work this season, and we can’t wait to watch them this week against Mundy Hill.
Cheerleading
Last but not least, our competition cheerleaders have put so much work into this season racking up win after win on the weekends. Their hard work isn’t over, though, since they’re headed to State this weekend!

Smoke Signals wants to congratulate and acknowledge all of these amazing teams and thank all the athletes and coaches who have produced an incredible fall season! We can’t wait to see what the winter teams have in store for us.
