On November 7, 2024 Zach Lane Bryan came out with a new song called, “High Road.” He pre-released it on TikTok a couple weeks back, and it is now on all music platforms.

Zach Bryan, a very talented country music artist, released two new songs this past week. The song “High Road” came out last Thursday, November 7th. In the “High Road” Instagram post, Zach wrote a very long caption along with the song. In the caption he talked about going to visit his mother’s grave. He includes very sentimental things in the caption such as saying he is not going to be touring again due to getting his Master’s Degree, and he mentioned that he is moving back to Oklahoma, his hometown. To read the caption go to @zachlanebryan on Instagram.

The song is essentially a sad song: it starts out with Zach talking about still living in New York, and how it “isn’t good for him.” Then he goes on to talk about moving back to somewhere. The chorus of this song says, “She’s bound to come back and haunt you forever,” and “I’ve waited by the telephone all night.” This could very well be related to not getting to see his mother again.

The end of the song repeats the beginning, and the song is very well written. Overall I would rate this song an 4/5. Although he has changed up his music style lately, his music never got bad. Go give “High Road” a listen on any platform!
