Boxing Matchup Coming to Netflix

This Friday, Jake Paul is set to meet boxing legend Mike Tyson in the ring for eight rounds at AT&T Stadium in Texas. The event is set to be streamed live free of charge for Netflix subscribers.

The 58 year-old Tyson hasn’t boxed a sanctioned match since 2005, and Paul is the betting favorite to win. The bout had been rescheduled for several months following Tyson having complications of a stomach ulcer on his plane and needing to recover. Now, after all the wait, fans around the world are ready to see if the former-YouTuber can best Mike Tyson.

Soldiers Online for the First Time

Over the past week new reports have come in from the ongoing Russo-Ukrainian War as North Korean soldiers have been sent to aid the Russian effort. As a part of leaving their staunchly isolated, authoritarian home, the North Koreans were exposed to the unrestricted internet for the first time ever. This very quickly led to, according to a report by The Financial Times, the soldiers consuming copious amounts of explicit adult content.

Reports like this have been the subject of many internet memes in the West, drawing humor from the idea that the forced ignorance of these North Koreans was so quickly shattered in such a risqué manner.

Catholic Bishops & Traditional Values

On Wednesday, Catholic bishops pushed for the church to advocate Vatican teachings on several controversial issues following their annual fall meeting. Ranging from abortion to gender-affirming care, Catholic officials are urging their congregations to promote traditional views despite potential cultural backlash. “We never back-pedal or renounce the clear teaching of the Gospel. We proclaim it in and out of season…We must insist on the dignity of the human person from womb to tomb, be unstinting in our commitment,” declared Archbishop Timothy Broglio, president of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.
