On November 21, 2024 ECHS held the “Trash-To-Treasure” art competition sponsored by Angela Mills and Mitchell Reece.
Mrs. McMillian’s class submitted over 40 sculpture pieces and Mrs. Lovern’s class submitted handcrafted masks. The show featured many students’ art pieces and was a great opportunity for students to get recognition for their hard work. Sculpture pieces included: staffs, foil relief, 3D paintings, wearable art, string art, 3D letters, and many more artworks! Sculpture students normally use found objects for their art, so this contest was the perfect opportunity to showcase the students craftiness and creativity! This was most students’ first time being featured in an art show. Many voiced their excitement for this contest and the opportunity to be recognized for their amazing work.

Even though only three students could be chosen to win the competition, many students were happy to be able to participate in such a wonderful event. All students that participated in the “Trash-To-Treasure” competition should be proud of their artwork! We thank Georgie Mcmillan, Angela Mills, and Mitchell Reece for this amazing opportunity for students to showcase their artwork.
