The film Feed, starring Troian Bellisario and Tom Felton, is a gut wrenching portrayal of an impressionable young woman grieving her deceased twin brother. The movie explores the harsh reality of eating disorders in everyday life.
In Feed, we follow high school senior Olivia Grey, who has an unbreakable bond with her twin brother Matthew. Olivia “Liv” finds out she is on track to be her class valedictorian, so she and Matthew go to a celebratory party hosted by her boyfriend. When Liv loses track of time, it only fuels Matthew’s misguided anger. One thing leads to another and a tragic accident leaves Matthew dead and Liv scrambling for solace.
Through delusions and confusion, Liv develops an eating disorder disguised as her late brother. Around every corner Matthew is examining her actions and convincing Liv to give her food to him. She believes her brother has come back to her just as they promised when they were children.
Liv falls deeper and deeper into a spiral of hope and grief for the Matthew she knew. Will Olivia make it out of the darkness that engulfs her, or will her own brother kill her before she’s able to heal?
