Welcome back to the ranch! My Life With the Walter Boys season 2 premiered on Netflix on August 28, 2025, introducing a new installment into the beloved series. Bringing back all of the characters, the new season unravels new friendships, love interests, and family drama. The new season does not disappoint and only leads to more anticipation for season 3.

*Spoilers Ahead: After season one left off with Jackie leaving Colorado to go to New York after not returning Alex’s love confession and kissing Cole, season two picked up two and a half months later with Jackie living her new life in New York.

In New York, Katherine meets Jackie and urges her to come back to the ranch. Ultimately, Jackie decides to return. However, now, everything on the ranch has seemed to change. Many of the Walters are more distant and rude. Cole is happy to have her back, but doesn’t know what is going on between them, and, the most drastic change of all, Alex is now a popular cowboy and is mad at Jackie.

Jackie knows that she has a lot of fixing to do after leaving suddenly last summer without saying goodbye. She decides to embark upon the challenge of earning her driver’s license so that she can help Katherine get all of the kids where they need to go.

With Cole, she establishes clear boundaries between them, stating that they are just friends. Cole seems to accept that, but with reluctance. Over the school year, Cole becomes assistant coach of the school’s football team and is preoccupied with facing the fact that coaching is the closest thing he will get to playing football again.

With Alex, Jackie tries to reconcile with him, but he claims that he needs time to get over the fact that she didn’t respond to his love confession last school year. Alex gets into bronc riding and forms a connection with his new mentor, but ultimately finds out that there isn’t a real love connection between them and that he’s still not over Jackie.

Alex and Jackie start dating in secret. They go to the same public events but make an effort not to seem like they’re really together. Eventually, Alex wants to come out to the public with their relationship, but Jackie still denies this request, claiming that it isn’t the right time yet. Alex continues to accept this delay.

After many dramatic events, such as the barn burning down and the dance falling to pieces, the season finale came. In the season two finale, Cole finally confesses that he is in love with Jackie. Jackie can’t deny her feelings anymore and claims that she loves him too. This confession provides reasoning for why Jackie didn’t want to come out to the public with her and Alex’s relationship: she still wasn’t sure about her strong feelings for Cole.

Alex ends up overhearing their love confessions and becomes very upset. However, before any more drama can unravel between the three of them, an ambulance arrives at the ranch due to George having a possible heart attack. This is where season two leaves off.

The end of this season leaves the audience with a few questions: What happened to George, and will he be okay? What will happen between Cole and Jackie now that they have confessed their love for each other? Will they get together, or will Alex’s heartbreak cause a gap between them and the family? Will the family be able to unite as one to face George’s health crisis?

Season two of My Life With the Walter Boys has the same feeling and tone as season one, that keeps the audience engaged and always wondering what will happen next. There is a bunch of drama in this series that may seem like too much to some people, but to people who love drama, it’s perfect.

Overall, this new installment in the My Life With the Walter Boys series lives up to the viewers’ expectations. Hitting the points of drama, family, love, and friendship, it covers everything that a good chapter of this series needs. Season two is a must-watch for people who have seen season one. It is available on Netflix for all who are interested in watching.
