Today I decided to interview my chemistry teacher Mr. Miller. We talked about some of his interests and preferences; especially regarding Autumn and the holiday season. Below is our interview:
Q: What has been your favorite movie of 2025 so far?
Miller: Now that you ask me this it’s like I’m forgetting everything I’ve seen, but I guess I’ll say Happy Gilmore 2; that was pretty good. I liked it mainly because it was a sequel, and it gave me memories of when I was younger and I watched the first one. I hope I don’t think of a better one after this interview… yeah, Happy Gilmore 2; that’s my choice.
Q: What’s your favorite holiday?
Miller: Definitely Christmas because I get to give and receive. It’s also great to see my family, the alive ones, — wait, take that out— I love spending time with my family.
Q: What’s your favorite fall scent?
Miller: Ooh that’s a good question. I would say pumpkin spice, but I feel like everyone’s going to say that. Oh, I know, I really like bonfire smell! It’s just so comforting, and I even have a plug in of it in my room somewhere.
Q: Are you going to dress up for Halloween?
Miller: I’m probably too old, but of course! I’m either going to be Forrest Gump or this old mobster costume I have. Just put Forrest Gump, that’s more appropriate. You know who that is right?
Q: What’s your favorite music to listen to in–
Miller: Red Hot Chili Peppers. All year long it’s RHCP, so I don’t need to hear the rest of the question— it’s always my answer.
I enjoyed the lightheartedness of our conversation, and I found myself interested in his life outside of school. Although these questions are silly I wanted to ask more because his answers ignited my curiosity. You never know the complex answers simple questions might give you.
