Fans worldwide tuned in throughout November and December of last year to experience the final season of Netflix’s hit series Stranger Things. Here’s what a few EC Indians had to say!
Quality Acting, Drama, and Emotion by Lauren Shoch
The Duffer Brothers released season five of Stranger Things on November 26, 2025. This was a very long-awaited season. Many people have been waiting for this season to come out because it was the finale. It came out in three different parts, with a few episodes at a time.
The main characters in this show are a group of teenagers and adults who all live in Hawkins, Indiana. Season Five mainly takes place in Hawkins and the “Upside Down.” The Upside Down is a different version of Hawkins. It’s an evil place where monsters live. The monsters are connected to the most powerful and evil individual called Vecna. The friend group works together to try and defeat him before he takes over the world.
I would rate this show five stars. You can watch it on Netflix. The producers put so much work into this show to make it so interesting and grab the attention of viewers. It has the perfect amount of thrill and action that keeps you on the edge of your seat, but is also mixed with many funny and lighthearted moments. There’s also a lot of drama and sadness going on. Stranger Things has some of the best acting I’ve ever seen. Unlike many other shows that are very fake, the characters in this show will make you forget it’s not real.
Are We Sure That’s the End?? by Colton Dunn
The Duffer Brothers released Stranger Things Season 5 from November 26 to December 31, 2025 on Netflix. Do I recommend Stranger Things Season 5? Yes, I do. There is a lot of action but some filler too, and the season doesn’t get stale. The only thing I did not like was the ending, but there are rumors it’s not done yet
If you watched and liked Locke & Key, The OA, and Dark, I think you would like the whole of Stranger Things, not just Season 5. You can watch all five, complete seasons on Netflix.
An Overall Win by Rikari Maddox
You should watch Stranger Things— it’s a very good TV series! The show is about a group of friends, their families, and local police in the 1980s in the town called Hawkins, Indians who uncover a secret world filled with monsters and supernatural mysteries. After their friend Will disappears, this group must team up with a superpowered girl and fight government conspiracies and supernatural threats.
Season 4 released on July 15, 2016 and filming for Season Five began in early 2024. Some people like it because it has a perfect blend of the 80s, strong friendships, and adventure. Others didn’t like the bloated cast and sprawling narratives. But overall I’d give it a good 5 stars.
You can watch Stranger Things on Netflix in the Sci-fi horror section. For similar shows, I’d recommend The Umbrella Academy, Dark, Yellow-jackets, Locke & Key, or classic 80s-inspired films like E.T. or Super 8.
